Making the Corvallis area Home

USA Homestays has been placing international college students into local homes since 2012. Garrett Smith is the Homestay Director for Corvallis, Oregon, home of Oregon State University. In addition to Corvallis, USA Homestays is beginning to place students in Albany, Salem, Monmouth and Eugene.

Garrett, his wife Mindy, and their five children relish the opportunity to meet and befriend students who bravely travel across the planet to study in America. Garrett labors to recruit more and more good families who will host students in the community. The Smith Family also has begun cultivating a network of local international students who do all sorts of activities together. Oregon is known for epic landscapes, delicious locally-grown food, artisan coffee, and delightful weather (if you ignore the rainy season). Garrett can be seen around town at all the local coffee shops engaging in rich conversation with students. The Smiths are constantly inviting their whatsapp group to go explore the surrounding beauty with them.
